Change of oxygen-containing copper wire reduction of area of the three producers on the drawing regime is investigated. Performed in production environment the passive experiment showed that on the technology of copper wire drawing breakages is localized when the strain is about 2,7. The method of rough wire production has little effect on the magnitude of reduction of area at the drawing stage. Reducing the diameter of the intermediate workpiece leads to diameters moving in which the breakage is localized in the direction of smaller values. Production of thinner wire leads to greater dispersion of reduction of area.
