Our study investigates the influence of international migration on labor productivity in the context of European Union. The first strand of studies underlines the negative association between international migration and labor productivity, the second strand indicates positive relationship, while the third strand document that international migration is insignificant to determine labor productivity. By using a fixed effects panel regression and data for 27 EU countries from 2000 to 2020, we provide an aggregate estimate of the contribution of migration to labor productivity. The results demonstrate the negative impact of an increase in migration and share of immigrants on labor productivity.
