The article presents an analysis of the state of the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex, identifies a tendency towards a decrease in the level of provision of the industry with equipment. An overview of approaches to defining the concept of the digital economy, methods for assessing the effectiveness of digitalization at enterprises is carried out, the experience of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex in Russia is analyzed. The necessity of applying integrated approaches and developing new methods for assessing the effectiveness of the introduction of digital technologies at agricultural enterprises has been identified.
