The dramatic multidimensional composition of the Last Judgment consists of separate plots that have been enriched since the very beginning of Christianity: they were taken from theological texts, moral books, canonical and apocryphal works which consistently made the perception of the Doomsday theme more clear and obvious. The author analyses some iconographical plots of the manuscripts from the book collections of the Urals region which have also enlarged the general perception of the Last Judgment. Ural copyists followed the text to make a visual series while using the tradition of their own or adopting some other traditional perceptions of the Doomsday including some elements of Western European tradition; as a result, one can observe the peculiarities of pictorial series of the manuscripts performed in the Ural region.
