Area of research is process of continuous casting and hot rolling of the copper rough wire preparation for the subsequent drawing of a wire of electrotechnical appointment. Calculations of parameters of the deformed condition accompanying process of rolling of oxygen containing copper on the MANNESMANN DEMAG SACK rolling mill in the casting - rolling line CONTIROD are executed. The obtained data are compared with mechanical properties of copper with allocation of areas of strains, temperatures, and strain ratios, characteristic for production. The range of change of strain on the rolling passes within 0,227-0,592, and also a range of strain ratios within 1,05- 334 s-1 is established. It is revealed that in rolling passes in the draft group of rolling stands possibly development of the Portevin - Le Chatelier effect (PLC). It is revealed that for the first two passes of the rolling lowered loads of a drive of the rolling mill that speaks development of the mentioned effect are characteristic. It is assumed that local fall of deformation resistance in areas of the increased strains can lead to the deformation localization in these areas and to receiving a picture of the non-uniform deformed condition. It is revealed that calculation of deformation resistance for known approximating dependences leads to the essential overestimate of results at the increased values of strains and, especially, in draft passes of rolling. The obtained settlement data are compared to results of measurement of loadings on the industrial rolling mill and qualitative convergence of results is shown.
