The article substantiates the relevance of studying education as a resource potential of people of the "third age". We present the results of a sociological study of the educational needs of older workers, as well as the possibilities of their implementation in practice. The author revealed the problematic field of using education as a resource for the conservation and development of human capital of the silver community.
