FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of nanosized ordered silicon particles by electrolysis of molten salts, which can be used to produce silicon-based anodes when creating new safe lithium-ion batteries with improved energy characteristics. The method includes electrolysis of a KCl melt with a silicon-containing additive K2SiF6 at a temperature of 790-800°C. During electrolysis, SiO2 is added to the KCl- K2SiF6 melt in an amount of not more than 0.5 wt.%, and the electrolysis is carried out using a carbon counter electrode. EFFECT: method allows to obtain silicon of controlled morphology in the form of nanosized tubes and needles while reducing energy consumption, maintaining a reduced chemical aggressiveness of the molten electrolyte, high purity of the silicon obtained, as well as the service life of structural materials and the reactor for implementing the method. 1 cl, 2 dwg.
