The paper presents the methodological possibilities of "direct" and "reverse" solutions of inventive tasks for creating technically effective architectural and construction objects and products. Visual algorithms for the implementation of these techniques have been developed. The author's examples on the creation of patentable solutions are considered, revealing the possibilities of methods of "direct" and "reverse" solutions. The necessity of intensifying the training of students of architectural and construction universities, as well as industry specialists in inventive methods to increase the technological sovereignty of the domestic industry is shown.
