The low-carbon economy today is a kind of trigger for the concept of sustainable development, and carbon pricing serves as the main tool of the emissions trading system. The article presents a methodological approach to assessing the volume of regional quotas and the cost of carbon in Russia, based on determining the costs of implementing carbon projects of enterprises, calculated per unit of reduction of carbon units, in assessing and accounting for transaction costs associated with reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The study determined the internal carbon price for ferrous metallurgy enterprises in the Sverdlovsk region.
