Considering the rolling process of balls, it has been determined that one of the main parameters, both when calculating the calibration and when constructing a roller model, in addition to the diameter of the rollers themselves, the length of the roller body and the rolled profile, is the roller space at the crossing point (zones where the edges of the rollers are at the closest possible distance from each other). The method of calculating the roller space at the crossing point was determined. Based on the results of the calculation, analysis and selection of rational setup parameters of the rollers when rolling balls were carried out. The analysis was carried out for new rollers, as well as for rollers after the first, second, third, fourth remachining of screw ball-rolling calibers. On the basis of systematized data, point graphs of setup indicators were constructed. Based on the graphical data, a polynomial approximation was made. Equations of the functions of the setup parameters were determined.
