With each passing year, the question of the impact of young people and their resourceson the development of the city becomes more and more acute. Despite the fact that youngpeople actively use the opportunities of urban space, they are not always ready to givesomething back. The article presents the practices of volunteering in which young peopleare most actively involved, as well as analyzes the existing mechanisms through whichyoung people can get involved in the development of urban environment. In addition, thebarriers that hinder the active participation of young people in social projects are described.
