This paper is devoted to the stereotyped image of Russia and Russians in the world community. The paper presents the results of projects on the topic «Breaking stereotypes?» made in the programme unit «Theory of intercultural communication» at University. The research was carried out based on the material of English-language publications and by the survey of foreign people.
