Aim. To identify the specifics, features and factor relationships of the electoral process in the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region in 2022.Methodology. Content analysis has become the key research method; event analysis and comparative method are also used.Results. The analysis of the actor structure and political forces of the electoral process is carried out. The dynamics of the electoral turnout of voters is analyzed. Municipalities with a high percentage of government and opposition support have been identified. The elector’s vote cost for candidates has been set. Based on the results of the study, the author’s interpretation of the results is presented.Research implications. The practical significance is in determining the specifics of the election of the Sverdlovsk region governor’s election in 2022. It seems possible to use the research theses for scientific and practical purposes.
