The main features of students’ orientation concerning the Bachelors’ degree pursuit are being identified: low level of awareness concerning the reforms in the sphere of higher education; contradictory attitude towards the introduction of the two-level system of higher professional education; focusing on information coming from the mass media, primarily, from the Internet and on the opinion spread within the reference group, to which the student belongs to; material factor is to be considered the main one while dealing with the problem of job placement together with focusing on the graduate school. The research enables to work out the recommendations on training programs development and academic process upgrade.
