The descriptions of a functional diagram of the experimental setup, Doppler signal simulator design, autodyne response recording unit circuit as well as designs of typical and stabilized millimeter-range autodyne modules made on the basis of mesa-planar Gunn diodes using the hybrid-integrated technology have been presented. The coupling between the main slotted operating cavity and additional high-Q (stabilizing) volume cavity was made according to the circuit of the band-reflecting filter with resistive coupling. The results of experimental research of autodyne response formation peculiarity in usual and stabilized oscillators are presented. The conditions of a low reflected signal and a high signal when the amplitude of the reflected wave is comparable with the amplitude of fundamental oscillations are considered. The prospect of frequency stabilized millimeter-range oscillator modules for autodyne sensors, measuring and communication systems is described.
