It is shown that the existing methods of preparing siderite ores and their use do not allow to obtain high indices of blast smelting as compared with the use of concentrates from magnetite ores with high iron content. To increase the efficiency of blast furnace gas, it is necessary to use a metallized product obtained by reductive roasting of siderite ores. A technology of reductive roasting of siderite ores has been developed, which makes it possible to obtain metallized concentrate with an iron content of 65 - 68%. The basic provisions of the restoration roasting of siderite ores in shaft furnaces are formulated, and for its implementation, the design of a three-zone shaft furnace is proposed. The temperature and consumption parameters of the technological process are given, and an economical gas scheme of reductive roasting of ore is considered, which allows to significantly reduce the cost of the process. In addition, the use of a metallized product from siderite ores with a high iron content will make it possible to obtain a significant economic effect in the blast furnace production.
