SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to the technology for extracting scandium from technogenic and productive scandium-containing solutions formed during the extraction of uranium. The method includes the operation of extracting scandium using the solid extractant and re-extracting scandium. The re-extracted solid extractant is returned to the scandium extraction operation. Thorium fluoride is precipitated from the scandium strip solution to obtain a deactivated scandium strip solution. From the resulting deactivated solution, a scandium fluoride concentrate is precipitated to obtain a filtrate, which is saturated with hydrofluoric acid and re-sent to the scandium re-extraction operation, and the scandium fluoride concentrate and its processing. Moreover, the precipitation of the scandium fluoride concentrate is carried out with a calcium compound, with a calcium:scandium ratio of 1:20, while the freshly precipitated scandium fluoride concentrate is processed to obtain a scandium solution, from which the sparingly soluble scandium compound is precipitated.
