The paper is prepared in a theoretical genre. The key goal of the article is to identify and describe the current typical features of the analysis of digital hygiene in Russian social science. The author notes the contradiction between the growing popularity of digital hygiene research in Russian social science and the lack of well-developed conceptual foundations on which developments in the relevant field could be based. Trying to take a step in overcoming this contradiction, author turns to the analysis of current Russian studies of digital hygiene and describes the most typical features of research projects in this area. In the course of his analysis, the author concludes, that research on digital hygiene turned out to be a popular, but poorly developed area of Russian social science and need further development.
