The article provides an overview of the presentations at the round table devoted to the study of information culture in the contemporary Russian society. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the concept of ‘information culture’ are considered, the structure of the information culture and its role in modern society is analyzed. Special attention was paid to the factors affecting the development of information culture.
