This article considers the necessity of main production funds' renovation because of their high wearing-out, essence and investment functions. There are the results with demands' calculations in investments made by V. Ryazanov. The article analyzes investments in fixed capital of Russian economy according to sources of financial support for a long period of time, where the most part was an attract money because of absence of own resources in sufficient value of enterprises for renovation of production instruments. Inflow of foreign investments is considered as addition of own money. First of all that money goes to branches of making products with stable demand on the world market and has fast turnover of investments. In order to improve the situation in investment sector of economy the author marks out the main directions of strategic economic policy, including creation of favorable investment climate; orientation on high-technical production, education and science; making institutional decisions, which increase trust of domestic and foreign investors.
