The article analyzes one of the aspects of the dynamics of modem scientific community -the change of temporal self-organization of its research work. The contradiction is revealed between traditional principles of scientific activity, being established and proved by generations of Russian scientists, and temporal marks of modern University science management. It is proved that intensification of scientific activity at the expense of increasing the number of different types of «research output» per a unit of time is focused on quantitative indicators and does not provide quality improvement of intellectual capital. Contradictory impact of intensification of «scientific production» on professors' research activity motivation is shown.
