The article analyzes in interrelation the social phenomena of students’ failure in the relationship with their anomalies (deviations) in higher education, which are quite common and widespread in the universities of the country. The nature and manifestations of the connection between academic deviations and educational failure of students are shown. Attention is drawn to the need to limit anomalies in the academic behavior of students and to search for its ways, as well as opportunities and ways to counteract them.
