In this paper we present a brand new approach to creating an anode for a sharp-focused pulsed nanosecond x-ray tube. We suggest using a tungsten-graphite anode unit, which will lead to increasing the average power of the x-ray tube up to 3 kW. In this article we provide a theoretical justification of the suggested approach and estimation of allowable heat load for the anode.
