The questions of constructing experimental softwarehardware complex for study of AC drives systems are under consideration. Using of softwarehardware simulator of equipment solves the problems of tests of the equipment during designing electric drive systems which often are expensive or difficult for implementation. It is shown, with using, for example, thyristor voltage converter with induction motor (TVCIM), possibility of creating this simulator based on singleboard controller with integrated fieldprogrammable gate array (FPGA). Power part of the AC drive: converter, motor and the load, is represented as mathematical model that is created in LabVIEW FPGA which communicates with real control system. Calculation of mathematical model equations of power part is implemented on FPGA with calculation period 1 microsecond of real time. Parts of the mathematical model, oscillograms of phase current and voltage that were obtained in real TVCIM and in the simulator are represented in this article. These oscillograms demonstrates the possibility of getting real characteristics of processes during debugging the control system of electric drive with the simulator. Created simulator allows to explore others types of electric drive systems: induction motor with frequency converter, TVCIM system and others.
