The paper contains a comparative analysis of different approaches to the treatment of Russian researchers notion innovative susceptibility of socio-economic systems of different hierarchical levels. It con cludes that so far in the national scientific community has not developed common understanding of the essence of the category of innovation receptivity, which greatly complicates the research in this area and the development of practical recommendations to stimulate innovation.
