This paper presents the results of a bibliometric analysis of scientific research on the development of the active ageing concept. The work aimed to systematise the research directions focused on active ageing in the context of various approaches of this concept. For this purpose, the methodology of bibliometric analysis was applied using the tools of the VOSviewer software and systematisation of scientific views. 1078 articles on the topic of active ageing published from 1975 to 2022 in the Web of Science scientometric database were analysed with the help of bibliometric and visualisation methods. The results indicate an increase in research on the topic of active ageing in the direction of gerontology, geriatrics, social sciences, and economics. As a result of the study, the following thematic clusters were identified: labour activity, physical activity, quality of life, health care. The research findings will allow for scientific collaborations to jointly explore this problem.
