Data on the taxonomic composition of tropical and subtropical ferns in the greenhouse collection of the Botanical Garden of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences are presented. Currently, the collection of ferns includes 59 species, 32 genera, 5 families. The largest families are Polypodiaceae (28 species) and Pteridaceae (16 species), the largest generas are Adiantum and Hemionitis (5 species), Pteris (4 species). Most of the species have a more or less wide distribution area in the Eastern Hemisphere (37 species). The species of flora of South and Central America (15 species) are significantly poorer. The collection includes endemics of New Zealand, Antilles and Macaronesian Islands. We estimated the success of the introduction of the ferns in the collection.
