Some results of a research of a possibility of legal protection of the intellectual property items created by pedagogical employees of educational sports institutions are presented. By means of methods of mathematical statistics close connection between qualification category of the teacher and the amount of results of intellectual activity created by it is confirmed. The structure of management of intellectual property in educational institution, and an algorithm of the actions directed to protection of intellectual property of teachers are offered.
