The article shows how the deviation from the norm / normal in contemporary Ural literature approves itself at all levels of the text: from concerning its topic and problems (total alienation from traditional social, cultural and personal norms of life, identity crisis, maintenance of the mortal theme) to specific methods of world modeling, which are related to lameness of the modern man's consciousness and its representation (zoomorphic code, predominance of the dead-end space, necessity of aggression, intolerance and violation motifs). The article concludes that, regarding generic difference of the texts, which were selected to represent one of the areas of contemporary Ural literature, the similarity of the techniques, which are used to depict modern reality and human's worldview, is obvious. These techniques can be defined by a single word – «excessive», meaning something going beyond the mark. With the help of these grotesque techniques of intensification, aggravation and redundance certain features of modern reality are edgier comprehended and described.
