This work examines the «History of my imprisonment» as evidence of the arrest and imprisonment of Nikolai Zabolotsky, which is increasingly unfolding in an absurd and phantasmagoric form. The author, reflecting on what happened in the narrative, depicts the world as unreal, fantastic, and uses metaphorical images in describing people. Only in this way can he explain the cruel attitude of people towards each other.
