The article is devoted to the problems of legal regulation of the prevention of cyberaddiction among young people. The purpose of the study: to conduct a comparative legal analysis of Russian and foreign normative legal acts regulating the spread of Internet addiction among young people.Comparative legal analysis allowed us to analyze the state policy in this area in different countries. Results: the analysis of the legislation on this issue in Russia and abroad is carried out; incomplete compliance of legislative acts is established; the main problems and contradictions of the Russian legislation regulating the prevention of addiction to computer games are revealed. It is established that in practice, the prevention of Internet addiction is mainly reduced to ensuring the information security of children and protecting them from information through the formation of media literacy, which is the basis for the rehabilitation of cyberaddiction. It is noted that the axiological, emotional-personal and cognitive sphere of a young person is distorted, which is the basis for the rehabilitation of cyber-dependent behavior. The designation of Russia as an aggressor in computer games leads to the formation of legal nihilism among young people. Conclusion - the implementation of targeted activities by public administration bodies based on legal support that establishes Internet addiction as a disease and focuses on the family in preventive work will lead to positive results in solving this problem both in the subjects of the Russian Federation, and at the level of municipalities, as well as at the level of educational organizations and families.
