The article discusses the impact of preliminary analysis of tangible assets on decision-making related to need for investment. This analysis focuses of the main indicators of the efficiency of use of tangible assets and their respective technical conditions of JSC Siberian-Ural Aluminum Company - one of the largest enterprises. Based on the identified problems during this analysis the recommendations were developed for the directions of investments and their sources.
