Digital platforms have become an integral part of everyday reality. They are used by legal entities and individuals both in private life and in business. The direction of creating and conducting business activities on digital platforms is developing, and as a result, this requires the establishment of rules of interaction. The subject of the study is the ways of regulating digital platforms as organizations and relationships on them. The purpose of the study is to identify the boundaries of responsibility when conducting business on a digital platform or using the functionality provided by digital platforms. The main method of research is a review of literary sources in order to identify regulatory documents regarding digital platforms. As a result of the conducted research, it was revealed that the legislation of Russia on digital platforms and working with them is at the stage of active formation. Recommendations on the formation of directions for further research to compile a comprehensive system of agents involved in the economic and economic activities of digital platforms are proposed.
