FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical, metallurgical, electronic industry. For the processing of liquid wastes of titanium dioxide production, scandium is extracted from hydrolized sulfuric acid (HSA) on an extractant, consisting of a mixture of di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid and tributyl phosphate (TBP) to produce a saturated extractant and extraction raffinate. Saturated extractant is washed with a solution of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Scandium is reextracted with a solution consisting of a mixture of NaOH and Na2CO3, to obtain a scandium concentrate. Sulfuric acid from scandium extraction raffinate is sorbed on a low-basic polycondensation anionite to obtain a sorption mother liquid of sulfuric acid and a saturated low-basic polycondensation anionite, which is directed to the desorption step with water to obtain a desorbed low-basic polycondensation anionite, sent repeatedly to the sulfuric acid sorption operation. Sorption mother liquid of sulfuric acid is directed to the sorption of titanium by a low-basic polymeric anionite to obtain a sorption mother liquid of titanium and a saturated low-basic polymeric anionite. Saturated low-basic polymeric anionite is directed to a desorption step with a solution of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide to obtain a desorbed low-basic polymeric anionite, which is redirected to the sorption of titanium. Mother liquid of titanium sorption is utilized. EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the complexity of HSA processing, the degree of desorption and the purity of products obtained.
