The article deals with the socio-philosophical aspect of discourse as a phenomenon of communicative sign system. The topicality of discourse is dictated by the conditions of globalization, when in the globalization processes, not only social space, but also the very structure of personality is subjected to cardinal changes, at times to intense breakup and destruction. In this connection discourse acts as the way, method, and condition of successful socialization, communication and cultural identification of an individual, social communities and groups.
