FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: samples are selected and laps with finished surface are produced. Sizes and chemical composition of inclusions are determined from spectra of characteristic X-ray radiation. Coordinates of every inclusion are defined by preset black and white balances on analysed lap surface at scanning by electron beam created in raster electronic microscope electron gun. Besides, analysed lap is immersed in corrosive solution to define coordinates on non-metallic inclusions another time as well as their chemical composition of the same surface before immersion. Obtained results are compared by matching the spectra of said characteristic X-ray radiation at locations of non-metallic inclusions with identical coordinates before and after corrosion tests which allows define the class of inclusions that causes corrosion in test solution.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and validity of determination.
