Тhe article deals with A. Platonov‟s comprehension of love in the short story “Aphrodite”. It is substantiated that the main position for Platonov was an indication of the duality of the object of veritable love, the union of an ideal and a natural origin in it. The works of V. Solovyov “The Meaning of Love” and “Justification of Good” are indicated as the main context of the concept of love in the short story. The convergences and divergences with the philosophy of N. Fedorov are traced. The author points out that the key feature of the poetics of the story is the return to the motives of previous works.
