The developmentofbasic psychophysical qualities is ableto assist in the determination and socialization ofthe child, his formation as a person. The problem oflackofincentives for children with disabilities to motoractivity and adaptive physicalculture is relevant and requires a scientifically based solution. The purpose of this study was to search for new methods and forms of work to increase interest in adaptive physical education for children with disabilities, to develop their motivation for physical activity. Methodology and methods. Theoretical analysis and generalization ofliterature sources, diagnostic and experimental methods, statistical method ofprocessing the results ofthe experimentwere usedin the study. Results. In the course ofthe study, an experimental verification ofthe effectiveness ofthe methodology for developing motivation for adaptive physical education in children with disabilities was carried out on the basis of a special correctional educational institution. As a result, it was proved that the use ofthe elements ofthe introduced methodology in thelessons of adaptive physical education can have a positive impact on changesin the structure oftheleading motives of children with disabilities and stimulatetheirpsychomotor development Scientific novelty. The data obtained as a result of the experimental study can contribute to the improvement of the process of physical education of children with disabilities and increase their motivation to engage in adaptive physical culture. Practical significance. The results obtained in the course of the study and the presented methods and forms of work with children with disabilities can be usefulto practitioners working in the field ofadaptive physicaleducation.
