The article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of «spirituality» from the point of view of the heritage of the famous Ural scientist, the founder of the scientific school of philosophy of religion in the Urals, Daniil Valentinovich Pivovarov. Emphasis is placed on the fact that D.V. Pivovarov researched various aspects of «spirituality» so deeply that even the modern concept of «spirituality», which currently exists in Western religious studies, can be understood as «egocentric religion».
