The efficiency of the regenerator determines the temperature difference over the packing. The smaller the temperature difference between the flue gases at the nozzle inlet and the air heating temperature, the higher the efficiency of the regenerator. It has been established that at a temperature of smoke at the exit from the furnace of 1400—1500 °C, the heating of air for combustion reaches 1271—1371 °C. The temperature of the smoke at the outlet of the nozzle is 362—377 °C, and the thermal and energy efficiency of the regenerator is 90.7—91.8 % and 69.8—71.3 % respectively.
