Pulsating combustion is one of reducing NOx emission methods. Carried out previous studies have proved the feasibility of the pulsating combustion control techniques development. Automated analytic complex for the investigation of pulsating combustion has been upgraded, to preform non-contact diagnostics of the flame by thermal imaging camera. Using a thermal imager FLIR 7700M, which detectable a range of waves is 8–10 microns, recording of thermal sequences in resolution of 320?240 pixels, with a frequency of 412 Hz were performed. The effects on flame of adjustable fuel and air consumption pulsations separately, as well as the combined consumption pulsations both in one phase, in antiphase and with the phase shifts were investigated. Phase-frequency analysis of the obtained data using the fast Fourier transform and wavelet – analysis was performed. Also, the method of a filter mask computation has been developed. The results obtained in this investigation will be used in development of automatic control system of pulsating combustion.
