The article is a review of two different approaches for dealing with the semantics of possible worlds, Kripke offered and Quine. Produced a correlation of these approaches by the criterion of ontological principles of semantics. The consequences, which involve the accepted principles and boundaries of usability semantics of possible worlds of the two types considered.
