In this article one of possible options of application of process approach to management of educational process in a higher educational institution is considered. The main idea - application of a chain value to educational process and its specification (decomposition) for the identified subprocesses. The analysis of the importance of each of subprocesses in the general architecture of educational process is carried out and the main directions for achievement of the end result - release of competent experts are planned.
