The article describes a method for infrared diagnosis of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, including thermography by registering imager connected to a computer and monitor with the color infrared image, the local temperature of the study area and getting teplogrammy. The method is characterized in that thermography is carried out at a fixed fixing the patient’s head in a position in which the region investigated, namely periodontal portion is at an angle of 60 OС to the axis of the imager, wherein the imager axis coincides with the normal to the surface. Recording of the thermal directed to the mucosa of alveolar process was carried out sequentially at the beginning without a heat source, after 12 seconds with infrared radiation. The use of infrared diagnostics using a thermal imager can diagnose inflammatory periodontal disease. In the presence of periodontal disease is a slow increase in temperature by 0,6 OС, in a healthy periodontium temperature increases of 1,5 OС.
