The description and main circuits arrangement comparison of high-frequency convertors for arc welding power supplies were introduced. Operation concepts and stages in the historical development of circuits, based on the resonance technology were represented. Pros and cons of resonant converters were also presented. We indicated the advantages of resonant power supplies, based on MICOR technology.
