The article discusses the second-slavophile - period in the development of Russian thinker I. V. Kireevskiy’s thought. His diaries as well as his writings, give evidence of his conversion from Westernism to Slavophilism. These sources also allow us to trace his novel ideas and arguments in their emergence. The article discusses the infl uence of the ideas of Orthodoxy in the philosophical outlook of I. V. Kireevskiy.
