The efficiency of iron compounds application for aqueous media purification from arsenic has been studied. It is proposed to apply the active layer to a coarser material to accelerate the filtration process. Alumina and silica are considered as carrier materials. The results of scanning electron microscopy and infrared 103 spectroscopy are presented. The data on the capacity of the obtained sorbent modifications for the sorption of As ions under static conditions are presented. It is shown that the sorbent on the basis of SiO2 possesses maximum capacity. The possibility of regeneration of investigated sorbents was studied.
