SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gamma spectrometers with inorganic scintillators, having dependence of light output on energy of gamma-quanta of secondary electrons formed therein. Method for improvement of energy resolution of a scintillation gamma-spectrometer includes conversion by means of a photosensor of formed gamma-quanta in inorganic scintillator of light flashes into proportional electric pulses, processing of said pulses in spectrometric circuit, providing measurement undistorted blends pulse parameters proportional energy scintillation flashes and formation in electronic memory spectrometer hardware spectrum, wherein gamma-quanta are detected by an assembly of several optically insulated interconnected scintillators with individual photosensors, wherein sizes of scintillators, included in assembly, are selected so low that secondary gamma-quanta formed by primary gamma-quanta are not absorbed in scintillator, and mainly leave volume and detected by other adjacent scintillators, components of assembly, wherein pulses caused by single interaction of gamma-quanta with scintillators in assembly, are used to generate hardware spectrum, and those that arise simultaneously at outputs of two and more photosensors corresponding adjacent scintillators, excluded from process of forming hardware spectrum.
