This article examines the image of an Orthodox warrior saint in ancient Russian literature. At the beginning of the article, we consider the definition of saint people in different periods of history, the conditions under which the canonization of a person was possible. Then we compare the peaceful and military aspects of the life of Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donskoy. At the end, a conclusion is made and a collective image of the saint-warrior is compiled.
