The purpose of the thesis is the selective extraction of zinc from salt and alkaline batteries by hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical methods. As a result of the study, experiments were performed on the extraction of zinc from crushed and washed batteries, calculations of the rational composition of the initial and washed material, material balances of water washing and alkaline leaching of a mixture of salt and alkaline batteries, calculation of equipment and daily balances, as well as economic indicators of the process during processing of 833.3 tons of salt and alkaline batteries.
